Plan Navigation is a specialised CoAbility service designed to assist NDIS participants in achieving specific tasks within a set timeframe. Unlike ongoing Support Coordination, Plan Navigation offers a dedicated block of time focused on completing particular tasks or navigating specific challenges within your NDIS plan.

How is Plan Navigation Different from Support Coordination?

While Support Coordination provides continuous assistance throughout your NDIS journey, Plan Navigation is a time-limited service designed to address immediate needs, tasks, or pain points. Think of it as a project-based support system where you purchase a block of time dedicated to completing a specific objective.

Initial Consultation

We'll contact you to discuss what Plan Navigation would look like for you based on your specific barriers and pain points.

Recommended Package

We recommend a package individually tailored to your needs and barriers, outlining the areas we will assist you with, the time it will take, and the cost.. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

Session Delivery

Our services are provided over the phone and via Telehealth. For certain tasks that are not capacity-building, we may work independently and update you on our progress as we proceed. Our rate is $75 per hour plus GST.

Review and Decision

At the end of the agreed timeline or once we have achieved the designated goals, we will review our progress together. Depending on your confidence in independently navigating your plan, you can then decide whether to continue with our coaching or proceed independently.

FAQs

Support Coordination is an NDIS-specific service that is funded within your NDIS plan. Support Coordinators generally work with you for the duration of your plan, assisting in implementing your plan, helping you build a strong network of connections, and proactively planning with you to respond to unplanned events and achieve your goals.

In contrast, Plan Navigation, while it can be purchased with NDIS funds, is not an NDIS-funded service. It is a product developed by CoAbility to fill a gap in the market and assist people in navigating barriers to utilising their plan. Plan Navigation is a short-term package that provides comprehensive, tailored guidance to help you overcome specific barriers to accessing, implementing, and utilising your NDIS plan.

Plan Navigation is perfect for those without Support Coordination funded in their plans. It offers specialised, intensive guidance to tackle specific barriers and complexities, ensuring you can make the most of your NDIS plan.

Yes! You can use Plan Navigation if you have a Support Coordinator, even if you are currently working with one from another company. We can collaborate with your existing Support Coordinator to ensure you get the support you need.

Plan Navigation enhances and complements your existing support structure, ensuring you receive comprehensive and tailored guidance to maximise your NDIS plan. You decide how your funding is spent, and if you feel you need extra support to navigate your plan, Plan Navigation is here for you.

Plan Navigation is $75 per hour plus GST. Our packages start at 10 hours ($750 + GST). If you feel you need more assistance after 10 hours, we can discuss purchasing more hours.

YES!

If you don’t have any capacity-building funding left in your plan, but you need assistance to help you make the most of your plan, you can absolutely pay for it with your own money.

This is not always ideal, but it is the only way to get the support you need in some circumstances.

Plan Navigation can be funded through an NDIS plan.

Plan Navigation focuses on building your capacity to manage and utilise your NDIS plan effectively. This aligns with the NDIS’s goals of supporting participants in becoming more independent and achieving their individual goals.

Capacity-Building Supports: Plan Navigation falls under Capacity–Building Supports, specifically within the categories of “Improved Life Choices” or “Improved Daily Living.” These categories are designed to help participants develop skills and confidence in managing their supports and navigating the NDIS system.

Support Coordination: If you have funding for Support Coordination, it will also cover the Plan Navigation service, which involves coordinating and implementing your plan to ensure you receive the necessary supports and services.
